Le Rochette Castle

On the suggestive Umbrian hills between Todi and Massa Martana emerges the complex of “Le Rocchette”, an old medieval castle from the 1200’s surrounded by woods and streams. The castle has been in the hands of different Nobel families and their coat of arms are represented inside the castle.

The castle is subject to historical and artistic constraints pursuant to Law 1089/39 and today it is structurally consolidated (anti-seismic structure, technical report from ultrasonic tests on the masonry) and restored and new ventilated roofs have been installed. The restoring was made with the utmost respect for the original structure and its history by reusing, as far as possible, the original elements and materials from the site.

A portion of the building ( 200m²) is completely finished and habitable, excellent finishes, floor heating and attention to every little detail, each original window and loop hole has been conserved and equipped with handcrafted windows in it’s original size (Amazing view over the green hills of Umbria from all the windows) The renovated part consists of a large entrance, kitchen with a huge fireplace, a very big dining room, a wide living room with a big fireplace, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Remains approx. 690M² to finish. Perfect to accommodate another 6 apartments (project available) or a Wellness Centre with accommodation / restaurant /thermal baths in the suggestive space in the basement. Net habitable surface 890m², 1350 m²gross. The project involves the reconstruction of the central tower of the castle for an additional 100 square meters.
